BUNDT CAKES

In America, Bundts are often referred to as pound cakes and have been a staple of most home bakers’ repertoires since the late 50s.  But their provenance is European and the original Kugelhopf is still a signature cake at most Viennese cafes.  Notable for their distinct tube shape, they provide a moist, rich cake that is ideal for filling with everything from nuts and chocolate to fresh fruit.
